I watched a surreal movie this afternoon, that was fragmented and a bit difficult to understand. More than likely I'll watch it again to see if I can understand it better. But something about this particular movie made me think that life really is a canvas with which we paint our life stories. Or rather a series of canvas's that tell our story. Our memories, the ones that impact us the most are the one's that are overflowing with emotions.

One of my jobs as a photographer is to evoke emotions through the use of images. I'm toying with the idea of using my memories as vague references to recreate events that have had a strong emotional impact on my life. The photos would have to be vague and somewhat surreal to capture the emotion rather than just the people or objects in my photos. I am going to start thinking about how I can go about capturing certain ideas. Hopefully I'll be able to create the images I have floating around in my head.

Yes... I've been hiding
I know I'm behind on my photo taking. In February I encountered a lot of emotional hardships. Then I moved out of my apartment at the end of February and into a house. I'm STILL unpacking everything and trying to find good places to put stuff. I kind of wonder if I'll be able to find my check book. I'm sure I have it in a box SOMEWHERE.
